July 2021 Show hailed a sucess by exhibitors & visitors alike...

The homewares community turned out in force earlier this week to support the 2021 INDX Housewares show which took place at Cranmore Park in Solihull from 12-13 July.

Amidst the challenges of holding a live event during Covid restricted times, the teams responsible for planning the show worked hard to ensure the well-being of all its visitors and exhibitors, whilst still delivering an exciting showcase of market leading brands and a friendly, professional atmosphere.

Returning for it’s first in-person show since March 2020 and launching under new INDX branding, the two-day event was well attended by suppliers and retailers alike, all keen to resume face-to-face buying and selling in a bid to get back to business as usual.

Exhibitors were among the first to herald the show a success, delighted with the level of visitor attendance and the resulting business written across the two days:

“The show proved to be an amazing success for Captivate Brands. The opportunity to present products in a trade show environment on a face-to-face basis was reaffirming, inspiring and hugely enjoyable. The AIS members who came out and supported the show were upbeat and engaging and it was an absolute pleasure to see so many independent retailers over the two days. Big thanks to the INDX Team for their commitment and efforts to ensure that a very important Autumn trading period can be embraced with new products and new ideas as we all look to the future

- Tim Yeadon, Captivate Brands

“It was a brave decision to be the first to market following Covid with a trade fair and from a Pure perspective it was engaging, upbeat and productive. I was really impressed with the forward-looking optimism of the visiting buyers and their commitment to building sustainable business. Our team enjoyed seeing our current customers and meeting new customers and the results were better than we expected

- Ian Humm, Pure Tabletop

“This was our first show as a new exhibitor and it has exceeded our expectations”Richard Wood, Mr & Mrs Fragrance

Visiting buyers and retailers have also been quick to praise the show, thanking the venue and event teams for providing a well-organised and safe environment. Stuart and Sandy Gib were pleased that "normality has returned" and Paul Cuddy was "delighted to be back seeing everyone again".

Jim Carlisle from Reeds sums up the overall sentiment perfectly: “It was great to be back meeting suppliers and colleagues and the INDX team created a safe environment and relaxed atmosphere for us to resume face-to-face meetings

INDX Housewares will return to Cranmore Park from 22-23 February 2022 and exhibitors are already lining-up to reserve their stands. Following the success of the July 2021 show, next time will see both days being open to all general trade buyers, who are advised to keep an eye on the INDX Website for information about registering for the show: www.indxshows.co.uk
