Retailers welcome the return of live format and attend with positive outlook
Industry retailers and suppliers turned out in force to support the INDX Linens show which took place at Cranmore Park in Solihull from 08-09 September.
The first in-person showcase for over 18 months, this long-awaited edition of the show (formerly the AIS Linens Show) was also the first under the INDX Show banner, with Furniture, Linens and Housewares all having recently joined the successfully established INDX portfolio as part of the INDX Home umbrella.
The teams responsible for planning the show worked hard to ensure the well-being of all its visitors and exhibitors and despite the challenges of holding a live event whilst adhering to Covid-19 guidelines, the show successfully delivered an exciting selection of market leading exhibitors, and a friendly, professional environment conducive to placing orders.
Among the 25 supporting suppliers, key returning exhibitor Bedeck chose the event to celebrate their 70-year anniversary with an exclusive free prize draw. The lucky recipient of £250 to be spent at Bedeck.com, was randomly drawn by a representative from Bedeck, and announced at the close of the show as an AIS member from Northern Ireland.
The show also unveiled a number of inspirational trend areas, as well as introducing the new category Home Fragrance and welcoming newcomers Wax Lyrical, Mr & Mrs Fragrance and The Country Candle Company.
Exhibitor Debbie Curtis from Pownall & Hampson coined the overall sentiment of this season’s show, commenting that “it was great to be back to some sort of normality and having face to face discussions with retailers”.
Meanwhile, Small World Textiles who made their debut, were among the first to herald the show a success:
“The INDX Linens Show allowed us to showcase our premium bedding & accessory brands Avalana, Sketch, Bluebellgray & MM Linen, resulting in many AIS members and visitors engaging with our sales team. We are extremely pleased with the business written across the 2 days, and with the future leads generated by the show and thus, we are looking forward to returning to the next edition in February 2022.”
As a collaborative industry decision, the next INDX Linens show will return to Cranmore Park and run alongside INDX Housewares on 22-23 February 2022, offering retailers a convenient one-stop homewares buying experience, and, following the success of the September 2021 edition, suppliers are already lining-up to reserve their stands. Buyers are advised to keep an eye on the INDX Website for information about registering for the show: www.indxshows.co.uk
