July 2022 | Record breaking temperatures outside, record breaking orders inside!

The menswear community turned out in force for the July 2022 edition of INDX Menswear & Footwear

The menswear community turned out in force earlier this month, in support of its much-loved trade show, INDX Menswear & Footwear, which took place at its West Midlands venue Cranmore Park on 17-19 July.

And whilst temperatures were breaking all previous records outside, exhibitors were breaking their own records inside, with many suppliers having their best show to date in terms of business written.

The July 2022 edition of INDX Menswear was another triumph! Brilliantly organised and executed, we had our best ever Spring /Summer show, breaking all records. It was great seeing friends old and new and to experience a mood of genuine optimism for the future.” – Roger Meeke, Brook Taverner

Its been another very positive INDX show for the Ben Sherman collection, with regular customers booking forward orders at the show – it has become a strong business venue for the brand with the addition of being a great way of meeting new retailers and buyers from the UK and beyond." - Brian Murphy, Ben Sherman

The customers we've seen have been good core customers, we've picked up new accounts with stores, and with new independent customers which is key to use to bring our business forward. It's been great to get the White Stuff name back out there.” - Stephen Nunn, White Stuff

We’ve had a fantastic show. The first day was very busy and the second even better. We've written some good orders and we've made some good contacts with potential new customers.” -Matthew Rawlings, Douglas and Grahame

"INDX was full of smiling faces, with the sense of positivity and optimism from independents, all enjoying the feel good factor of our wonderful industry. From set up until finish we cannot thank the INDX team enough for their professionalism in bringing together such a well organised and successful trade show" - Sarah & Nigel Pinnock of NP Agency

"INDX goes from strength to strength and has built up to be 'the must go to' menswear exhibition in the UK and Ireland. Its totally professional and directly aimed at making buying choices for discerning independent retailers as easy and enjoyable as possible". - William & Carol Heaton, Redpoint

Alongside presenting the latest collections from over 150 brands, the show was also supported by fashion journalist and menswear commentator Eric Musgrave who led a series of lively discussions with invited guests during his ‘In Conversation with’ slots on Sunday and Monday of the show.

Exploring themes such as ‘The Feel-Good Factor in Indie Retail’, Eric was joined by a number of industry voices including Simon Whitaker, CEO - Master Debonair, Kevin Stone, Group Marketing Director - Baird Group and Marc Querol, MD - Double H Agency.

The independent menswear retailing community is in very good spirits judging by the vibe at the INDX Menswear show. I have to say that the INDX set up is really good. I only hear positive things about it from both visitors and supplier so long may it continue”. – Eric Musgrave

This season’s show welcomed department store buyers and menswear stockists from across the UK and Ireland, and not only were visiting retailers happy to take advantage of the air-conditioned exhibition spaces, but they were also quick to praise the exhibitor line-up and the upbeat mood of the show in general:

The SS23 show again lived up to what buyers needed with a good variety of brands and suppliers showing strong seasonal ranges for next summer. It was good to see more linen items being offered so we just hope for another hot summer next year. Both suppliers and other stores that I spoke to seem to be having a good season, so things are looking optimistic for next summer with prices and supply and delivery top of everyone’s agenda”. – Phil Adams, Smith Bradbeer & Co

"The INDX Menswear show of July 2022 had a real ‘buzz’ about it, with a relaxed but commercially focused atmosphere, and more exhibitors than ever. It’s my key show for scoping out new brands, as well as networking with suppliers an other retailers, helping to keep my finger on the pulse of what’s going on in independent retail. The addition to the event of guest speakers and an expert to offer retail insights was a real bonus.I was there on the hottest day in history, so the air-con also gets a big thumbs up from me! - Annmarie Felton, Ulster Stores

"The INDX Menswear & Footwear show was excellent and it enabled me to source some exciting new clothing ranges for S/S23!" - Alison Brookes, Elphicks

"It was great to be back at IndX to plan and buy for Spring/Summer 2023; and it felt much more like the pre-Covid 'good old days'! It's an important show for us to meet with several of our key suppliers, and it's always a good opportunity to compare notes and poach good ideas from other AIS members! "- Sam Walker, Walker & Ling

"The show is a great way to see many brands under one roof, with a fantastic choice. With the next few months of retail challenges nationally, and utility bill increases, its good to know we can choose ranges to suit all customer pockets, but not compromise on quality". - Peter Rowe, Smith Bradbeer & Co

With the future for menswear retailers looking bright, INDX Menswear & Footwear will return to Cranmore Park from 5-7 February 2023 and visitor registration is open: www.indxshows.co.uk/indx-fashion/menswear/registration
