INDX Man 16-18 July 2023 Show Review: A positive Crowd

As the menswear industry's premier order-writing trade show, the recent edition of INDX Man did not disappoint, and the 3 day show welcomed a positive crowd of retailers when it returned to Cranmore Park on 16-18 July 2023.

Exhibitors have been quick to herald the show a success and in an interview with Eric Musgrave from The Industry Fashion, Kamla Patel, from Gabicci said:

“It’s not been an easy year for retailers because of the poor weather in spring and the cost-of-living issues, but we had opened five new accounts by the middle of Monday (the second of three days). I see the appeal of good independents getting even stronger.”

In the same interview, Steve McConnell from Viyella commented that:

“The feeling at the show has been a lot more optimistic than I was expecting. After the busy time last year, demand for our Never Out of Stock lines has been flat in 2023, so I was a bit concerned about the mood here but everything feels stronger. We had a great day on Sunday, including seeing a lot of Irish buyers.”

First time exhibitor Baaad Flockers also had a positive experience at the show, with brand representative Kim feeding back:

“Having attended many shows I have to say that INDX Man has been my best experience so far; staff are so attentive and supportive. From the guys in the carpark, security, and the organising team, everyone has been great. It makes such a refreshing change".

Visiting Buyers also reported positively on the summer edition of the show and Charles McKenna, from Slater Menswear said: “This is a good show, with lots of brands we can work with.”

Organised by Associated Independent Stores (AIS), the UK’s leading buying group for Fashion, Home, and Leisure, James Crabtree, Head of Fashion at AIS confirmed that INDX Man is continuing to gather momentum, with a growing visitor footfall:

“By the close of two day we'd already welcomed more buyers through the doors this season, than we had for the full 3-day comparable show last year.

"It's been really good to see the community building and people coming together and there is currently a waiting list for brands that want to exhibit, which is a nice place to be".
