INDX Man gets ahead with unrivalled business-focused format

As the menswear industry's premier order-writing trade show, the recent edition of INDX Man did not disappoint, and the show welcomed a business-minded crowd of retailers when it returned to Cranmore Park in early February 2024.

Attendance for the 3 day show topped 800 buyers, representing menswear indies, department stores, category specialists, garden centres and lifestyle stores. Attendees also included such key AIS Members as Jarrold, Austins of Newton Abbot, Smith Bradbeers, Bakers & Larners of Holt, Ulster Stores, S D Kells, and Burgess of Athlone.

Organised by Associated Independent Stores (AIS), the UK’s leading buying group for Fashion, Home, and Leisure, James Crabtree, Head of Fashion at AIS reflects on a positive yet cautious industry state of mind:

"Overall attendance was up compared with 12 months ago, but footfall this season was definitely more irregular than usual. Buyers were on the hunt for something new, and there was still a real buzz about the place, however there was an underlying sense of caution and a feeling that the industry is waiting for the economy to shift for the better.

"Our job at INDX Man is to remain focused on providing the industry with a professional business environment, we want buyers and suppliers to be able to meet, have meaningful discussion, and develop business relationships with longevity in mind, and this is an approach that continues to work for us."
