February 2023 | Upbeat positivity the order of the day

INDX WOMAN Welcomes a Positive Crowd

INDX Woman recently returned to Cranmore Park for its February 2023 edition, bringing together womenswear, footwear, and fashion accessories, and showcasing the latest trends from an expertly edited selection of over 100 brands.

Organised by Associated Independent Stores (AIS), the UK’s leading buying group for Fashion, Home, and Leisure, James CrabtreeHead of Fashion at AIS remarked that the show had been "buoyant and vibrant":

"Brands were very pleased with the number of Buyers and retailers through the doors, and when you walked through the aisles, people were heads down, writing orders."

In an interview with Drapers during the show, Claire Wright, from Gemini Boutique made the following observations:

There is a generally upbeat atmosphere and there are lots of people writing orders. It’s very colourful, there are prints and colour everywhere – that’s lifting the mood. The show is very accessible and it has grown. I think it is now drawing people in from further afield and a lot of the big footwear brands have now moved here, plus a few new ones too"

Meanwhile, Jayne Begley, from Willow left the following feedback following her visit:

"We have attended this event a couple of times and it is perfect in all aspects.  Parking is easy and convenient, and the complimentary beverages are a nice touch.  This all adds up to an easy and enjoyable buying experience".

Exhibitors have also been quick to praise the organisition of the show and the positive mood displayed by attending retailers:

"Thanks to the AIS and INDX team - INDX Woman was a success. It’s a tricky landscape for trade events at the moment, and frankly it was a breath of fresh air to be in a nice buzzy environment again, with genuine optimism! - Priscilla from The Healthy Back Bag

Additional Buyer Events a Success

The show also hosted a series of additional Buyer events and, selecting pieces from around the showroom, Iona Kleinen was on-hand both days, to offer the Retail Insights audience some expert advice on creating a capsule wardrobe. Professional personal stylist, trained at the London College of Style, Iona works with clients all over the world, and is an expert at understanding what a client needs from their wardrobe, and how to create their ultimate style.

Jane Kellock founder of Unique Style Platform, a world class forecasting service for the fashion and lifestyle industries, also led a future-focused presentation in which she provided Buyers with inspiration on upcoming product and consumer trends.

Alongside Retail Insights, and sponsored by DK Company, attending Buyers were also invited to the networking event on the first evening of the show, with drinks, canapés and catwalk show, plus live music from Groove Collective which provided a lively close to day one, enjoyed by all:

"I love the venue. I like the location and its easy to place an order in a nice environment. I also loved the fashion show put on by DK company and I placed an order with B.Young". - Joanne Lewis, from The Cotswold Shed

"It was really nice to have drinks and canapés after the show and to network" -Tracy-Anne Fraser, Kanya
