INDX Furniture Post Show Review

September 2022 | Retailers attend INDX Furniture with a positive outlook

INDX Furniture Autumn 2022 Show Hailed a Success

Retailers and suppliers recently turned out in force to support the autumn 2022 edition of INDX Furniture, which took place at its West Midlands venue Cranmore Park from 30 August to 1 September.

Brought to market by Associated Independent Stores Ltd (AIS), the UK’s leading buying group, the first day of the show was reserved exclusively for AIS Members whilst general trade visitors were welcome to attend subsequent days – a successful format which will continue when the show returns in January 2023.

Emma Rackley, Director of Furniture & Home at AIS, reflects on the shows’ positive industry reaction:

Despite the fact that we’re experiencing an extremely challenging economic climate, and that our retailers are subsequently facing some exceptional challenges, we welcomed a good level of footfall across the 3 days and our exhibitors were very happy.

“Although there was an undercurrent of caution, the mood of our visiting buyers was very encouraging, and we had a great response to the new product ranges. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the suppliers and retailers who supported the show, it was a great success, and it would not have been possible without you.”

Visiting AIS Member Philip Sainsbury was pleased with the product selection and the show overall:

Again another very good INDX Furniture show delivered by the team at AIS. Very good selection of product especially across upholstery and more importantly most new models being delivered in time for our Winter sale promotions. Always a great and positive show environment in relaxed and casual surroundings”.

Exhibitors were also quick to herald the show a success:

It was good to be back at Cranmore Park for the Autumn 2022 INDX Furniture show. Good because the show is always very well organised and attended. I’m pleased to say HTL & Corium Italia once again received great support from the AIS Members and visiting retailers, for which we are most grateful.”- Mark Flint, HTL International

It was great to be back at Cranmore Park for the INDX Furniture Show, meeting with new and existing customers. We were very pleased with the number of retailers that came to support the event and overall, the show was a success for us.” -Gary Thompson, Hydeline

Alongside a stellar product showcase from an impressive line-up of industry leaders, this season’s show also provided an opportunity for attendees to join the onsite Retail Insights sessions.

The morning session was led by Matthew Thomas, Head of Engagement at Dispute Resolution Ombudsman, who offered a thought-provoking vision into changing consumer complaint behaviour, and the afternoon concluded with a very interesting exploration of sustainability in the industry, provided by Andrew Hudson, Managing Director of Eurofins | BLC.

Save the Date

The team responsible for organising INDX Furniture are already planning their next edition which is set to return to Cranmore Park from 20-23 January 2023. Admission on day one will be reserved for AIS Members, with general trade welcome to attend the show on 21, 22 and 23 January.
